The CAC 40 fell 0.5% to close at 8,068 on Tuesday, its lowest level since October 15th, extending the previous session’s losses and erasing part of October’s 2.9% gain, the index’s strongest monthly performance since January 2025, as broader risk off mood spread across global markets. Investor caution deepened amid the US government shutdown, which has delayed key economic releases, and market attention now turns to this week’s ADP employment report for fresh insight into US labor market conditions. Among individual movers, Edenred slumped 8.6% after the vouchers and benefits provider forecast slower annual core profit growth for 2026.
