4 November 2025, 17:03  India: Sensex Ends at 3-Week Low.

India's BSE Sensex closed about 0.6% down at 83,459.2 on Tuesday, the lowest since October 14, as the market continued to consolidate after October's sharp rally. Mixed corporate earnings, sustained foreign fund outflows and the lack of clarity around US-India trade talks also weighed on sentiment. Trade Minister Piyush Goyal said last month that India would not accept limits on its trade options or rush into agreements, despite noting that a deal with Washington was " very near". The IT sector was among the worst performers, falling 1.1% as mixed comments from US Federal Reserve officials clouded prospects for a December rate cut. On the upside, Titan Company climbed 2.1% to a one-year high after stronger-than-expected September-quarter earnings, while Bharti Airtel rose 1.7% to a record high on a sharp profit increase. Mahindra & Mahindra gained 0.9% on robust SUV sales, and State Bank of India added 0.8% following upbeat results.
