4 November 2025, 12:21  Romania: Producer Inflation Hits Over 2-Year High.

Annual producer inflation in Romania rose 6.13% year-on-year in September 2025 from a 3.21% increase in the previous month. This marked the fastest pace since May 2023, driven by notably higher prices in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (13.06% vs 2.89% in August) and manufacturing (3.80% vs 3.32%). Meanwhile, prices declined for mining and quarrying (-2.22% vs 0.84%), while price growth eased in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities (10.21% vs 10.82%). On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 0.87% in September, rebounding from a 0.61% fall in the preceding period.
