4 November 2025, 09:28  India: Sensex Edges Lower in Morning Trade.

Equities in India fell 148 points, or 0.2%, to 83,831 in early deals on Tuesday, as losses in tech, banking, auto, and financial stocks weighed on sentiment amid caution over US-India trade talks, the Fed’s upcoming interest rate decision, and subdued Q2 earnings results. The BSE Sensex declined after remaining nearly flat in the previous session, while the Nifty 50 also dropped 0.2%, tracking US stock futures as investors booked profits amid stagflation concerns and recession warnings. Traders, however, prepared for Q2 earnings announcements later in the day, including Adani Enterprises and Mahindra & Mahindra. Among the top decliners, Power Grid fell 2.7% following a 6% drop in Q2 net profit, while Tata Motors lost 1.2%, HCL Technologies and Nestle India both declined 1.1%, and NTPC dropped 1.0%.
