Producer prices in Jordan fell 1.8% year-on-year in September 2025, deepening from a 0.75% drop in the previous month. This marked the eight consecutive month of producer deflation and the steepest decline since October 2024, driven by continued decreases in manufacturing costs (-1.77% vs -1.43% in August), particularly in paper and paper products (-10.35% vs -10.03%). At the same time, producer prices in mining and quarrying slipped sharply by 5.32% compared to a 9.60% rise in August, weighed down by declines in extraction costs for crude oil and natural gas (-0.27% vs 14.60%) and other mining and quarrying (-5.40% vs 9.52%). On a monthly basis, producer prices dropped 0.94% in September, following a 0.46% decrease in August.
