28 November 2025, 23:20  Europe: Stocks Close Higher.

European stocks closed slightly higher on Friday to extend solid gains from the week amid continued support that more monetary easing from the Federal Reserve will improve the outlook for equities in major economies. The STOXX 50 added 0.2% to 5,666 and the STOXX 600 advanced 0.3% to 577. Tech shares were among the leaders of the session with ASML, SAP, Infineon, and Prosus rising between 1.5% and 0.7%. Consumer discretionary companies also closed higher, with LVMH jumping 1.4%, while Volkswagen and Stellantis rose 1.3% and 2%, respectively, to set the pace for auto manufacturers. A batch of inflation data maintained the outlook that the ECB is due to maintain its key rates unchanged in the next meetings, with harmonized rates in Italy and France undershooting estimates, while that in Germany was above. While both the STOXX 50 and the STOXX 600 closed the week sharply higher, the Eurozone's benchmark dropped 0.6% in November.
