27 November 2025, 23:42  Sweden: Trade Surplus Widens in October.

Sweden’s trade surplus widened to SEK 1.5 billion in October 2025, nearly doubling the SEK 0.8 billion recorded in the same month last year. Exports fell 1.6% year-on-year to SEK 181.2 billion, driven by lower sales to non-EU countries (-4.4% to SEK 80.1 billion), while shipments to EU countries increased 0.8% to SEK 101.1 billion. Meanwhile, imports dropped at a faster pace of 2.2% to SEK 179.7 billion, due to decreased purchases from non-EU countries (-7.8% to SEK 54.5 billion), while imports from EU countries rose 0.8% to SEK 125.2 billion. From January to October, the cumulative trade surplus increased to SEK 57.3 billion from SEK 55.9 billion in the corresponding period last year. On a seasonally adjusted basis, the trade surplus was unchanged at SEK 4.7 billion.
