The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Luxembourg edged down to 5.9% in October 2025 from the previous month’s over four year-high of 6.1%. The number of unemployed persons declined by 511 month-on-month, reaching 18,840, while total employment increased by 1,308 to 525,382. The active labor force among Luxembourg nationals grew by 543 from a month earlier to 319,130. In terms of cross-border employment, the number of outgoing residents rose slightly to 14,048, while incoming cross-border workers increased by 213 to 231,965.
