Indonesia’s government budget deficit for January to October 2025 stood at IDR 479.7 trillion ($28.68 billion), or 2.02% of GDP, the finance minister said on Thursday. The latest figure rose from 1.56% of GDP in the first nine months of the year, though it remained below the 2025 budget limit of 2.78% of GDP. During the period, government revenues reached IDR 2,113.3 trillion, or 73.7% of the annual outlook, supported by tax revenues that reached 84.3% of the target. Meanwhile, government expenditure amounted to IDR 2,593 trillion, or 73.5% of the 2025 budget target, with central government spending reaching 70.6% of the budget outlook.
