19 November 2025, 22:54  USA: Stocks Hold Slight Rebound.

US stocks held to shy gains from morning trading, halting the sharp selling from the four prior sessions as markets continued to assess the Federal Reserve’s rate outlook ahead of Nvidia’s earnings after the closing bell. The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq 100 were around 0.5% higher, while the Dow Jones added over 50 points. Nvidia shares were around 2% higher as it is expected to deliver softer, albeit sharp, revenue growth as investors await fresh outlooks for AI services and compute capacity. Tech stocks and speculative assets booked sharp losses since the end of last week as markets grew skeptical on whether soaring capital expenditure on datacenters will bring expected returns. Stocks maintained their slight rebound despite the divisive rhetoric on the FOMC’s minutes, although the delay of the BLS's jobs report to after the Fed's December meeting cut bets of another rate cut. Retail also took the spotlight, with Lowe's and TJX trading higher after delivering their results.
