14 November 2025, 15:47 USA: Futures Point to Losses at the Open.
US stock futures moved lower on Friday, with S&P 500 contracts down 0.6%, Nasdaq 100 futures falling 0.9% and Dow Jones futures losing about 180 points. This followed a sharp sell-off on Thursday, marking Wall Street’s worst day since October 10. The tech sector is expected to remain under pressure as investors grow increasingly worried about stretched valuations in AI-related stocks and the potential for a bubble. Concerns also rose that the Fed may hesitate to cut rates next month, after several policymakers expressed scepticism about the need for another reduction. Market odds of a 25 bps rate cut in December have dropped to just below 50%, down from nearly 65% earlier in the week. Before the opening bell, Nvidia shares were down around 2.4%, Tesla fell 3.8%, and Applied Materials tumbled more than 6% after reporting earnings and revenue below expectations. For the week, the S&P 500 is up about 0.1% and the Dow has gained roughly 1%, while the Nasdaq is down 0.6%.
