Slovakia’s economy expanded 0.9% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2025, surpassing market expectations of 0.7% and following a downwardly revised 0.5% advance in the previous three-month period, preliminary estimates showed. The expansion was mainly supported by a favorable foreign trade balance, along with stronger domestic demand, particularly as investment activity increased. On a seasonally adjusted quarterly basis, the economy grew 0.3%, edging higher than the 0.2% expansion in the previous quarter.
