14 November 2025, 04:26 Brazil: Ibovespa Drops for 2nd Straight Session.
The Ibovespa fell 0.3% to close at 157,162 on Thursday, extending losses for a second straight session as investors digested the end of the US government shutdown and turned their focus to Brazil’s third-quarter earnings season. US President Donald Trump signed a bill late Wednesday to restore funding and resume the release of key economic data. Banco Do Brasil, Rede D'Or Sao, Embraer, and Localiza Rent led the decline shedding between 1.1% and 2.4%. Banco do Brasil remainsl pressured by agribusiness delinquencies and higher provisions. Among commodity giants, Vale edged lower and Petrobras advanced 0.9% on higher oil and iron ore prices.
