12 November 2025, 22:23  Argentina: Inflation Picks Up in October.

Consumer prices in Argentina rose 2.3% month-on-month in October 2025, following a 2.1% increase in September and slightly above expectations of 2.2%. Prices accelerated for transportation (3.5% vs. 3.0% in September), clothing and footwear (2.4% vs. 2.1%), recreation and culture (1.6% vs. 1.3%), restaurants and hotels (2.2% vs. 1.1%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (2.4% vs. 1.6%) and other goods and services (2.4% vs. 2.1%). Meanwhile, prices slowed for education (1.7% vs. 3.1%), health (1.8% vs. 2.3%), housing and utilities (2.8% vs. 3.1%), communication (2.2% vs. 2.2%) and home equipment and maintenance (1.6% vs. 1.8%). Food and non-alcoholic beverage prices rose to 2.3% from 1.9%. On a year-on-year basis, consumer prices rose 31.3%, continuing the disinflation trend and representing the smallest increase since July 2018, down from 31.8% in September.
