10 November 2025, 11:58 Lithuania: Inflation Rate Up to 4.1%
Lithuania’s annual inflation rate edged up to 4.1% in October 2025, the highest in six months, from 4% in both September and August. Prices accelerated for food and non-alcoholic beverages (5.1% vs 4.8%), particularly milk, cheese, eggs, and meat; housing and utilities (2.0% vs 1.5%); health care (4.9% vs 4.6%), mostly pharmaceutical products; and alcoholic beverages and tobacco (8.4% vs 8.3%), reflecting higher prices for tobacco, beer, and spirits. Inflation held steady for recreation and culture (5.8%) and eased for transport (2.6% vs 2.9%). Meanwhile, prices declined for clothing and footwear (-0.6% vs -0.7%) and for items such as electricity and cars. On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.2%.
