9 October 2025, 21:37  Norway: Producer Prices Fall at Softer Pace

Producer prices in Norway fell by 2.8% year-on-year in September 2025, easing slightly from a 3% drop in the previous month. Prices decreased at a softer pace for the extraction of oil and natural gas (-12.2% vs -13% in August) and energy goods (-7.9% vs -9.1%). Meanwhile, prices moderated for manufacturing (1.3% vs 1.7%) and electricity, gas, and steam (38% vs 40.1%). Excluding energy goods, overall producer price inflation slowed to 1.3% in September from 2.7% in the preceding month. On a monthly basis, the total PPI fell 1.7%, slipping further from a 0.9% decline in August.
