Croatia’s trade deficit narrowed to EUR 1.3 billion in August 2025 from EUR 1.6 billion in the same month last year. For the January-August period, the trade gap widened to EUR 13.1 billion, compared to EUR 13.0 billion in the corresponding period last year. Exports rose by 8.7% year-on-year to EUR 1.7 billion in August, supported by higher sales to both EU (4.9%) and non-EU (4.1%) countries. Meanwhile, imports fell 2.6% year-on-year to EUR 3.1 billion, although imports increased for both EU (0.1%) and non-EU countries (13.7%).
