9 October 2025, 10:19 Denmark: Current Account Surplus At 3-Month Low.
Denmarkâs seasonally adjusted current account surplus narrowed to DKK 25.7 billion in August 2025 from an upwardly revised DKK 39.3 billion in July. This marked the lowest surplus since May, as the goods account surplus decreased to DKK 20.3 billion from DKK 31.7 billion, driven by a 6.8% decline in exports. At the same time, the services account surplus plunged to DKK 1.9 billion from DKK 3.3 billion. On the income side, the primary income surplus declined to DKK 6.2 billion from DKK 7.5 billion, while the secondary income deficit was at DKK 2.6 billion from DKK 3.1 billion.
