Brazil’s car production fell 1.5% in September 2025 to 233,400 units, down from 247,000 in August. The decline was driven by lower passenger car output (-5.7% to 183,200) and nearly flat truck production (0.1% to 10,100). In contrast, light commercial vehicle manufacturing jumped 18.1% to 47,300, and bus output rose 6.9% to 2,787. Vehicle exports decreased by 8% in the month. Compared to a year earlier, total automotive production increased by 5.8%.
