6 October 2025, 10:54  Czech Republic: Inflation Slows in September.

The annual inflation rate in the Czech Republic eased to 2.3% in September 2025 from 2.5% in the previous month, slightly lower than the market forecasts of 2.6%, preliminary estimates showed. The slowdown was mainly due to softer price increases for food, alcohol & tobacco (2.9% vs 4.0% in August) and goods (0.8% vs 1.1%). In contrast, costs for energy continued to decline but at a softer pace (-3.3% vs -4.4%). Meanwhile, inflation remained the same for services at (4.7%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell by 0.6% in September, reversing a 0.1% growth in the previous month, marking the first decline since April.
