Spain received 9.7 million international tourists in September 2025, 0.8% more than in the same month of 2024 and setting a new record for the month. The United Kingdom led with nearly 2.1 million tourists (+2.0% vs. September 2024), followed by Germany with 1.3 million (down 2.5%) and France with 1.1 million (down 1.6%). The majority of tourists opted for stays of four to seven nights, totaling over 4.7 million people, a 0.3% rise from the previous year. Notably, same-day visits climbed 7.7%, and extended trips of more than 15 nights also recorded growth, up 3.1%. The Balearic Islands were the top tourist destination in September, accounting for 22.6% of the total, followed by Catalonia (20.9%) and Andalusia (15.3%). In the first nine months of 2025, the number of international tourists arriving in Spain reached its highest figure, approaching 76.5 million.
