The consumer confidence indicator in Portugal improved to -15.9 in October of 2025 from the four-month low of -16.5 in the previous month. Despite remaining in the negative territory, improvements were noted for indicators measuring household's financial situation n the last year (-9.2 vs -9.9 in September), the country's economic situation in the last year (-39.2 vs -39.5), and the opportunity to make major purchases (-54.6 vs -57.2). Looking forward, surveyees also noted less pessimism in expectations of their own financial situation over the next year (-2 vs -2,2) and the country's economic situation (-23.6 vs -23.7).
