The industrial confidence indicator in Slovakia fell by 6.6 points month-over-month to -10.3 in October 2025 from -3.7 in the previous month. This marked the lowest reading since July 2023, mainly driven by a sharp decline in expected production (-10 vs 12 in September), particularly in motor vehicles, trailers, semi-trailers and other transport equipment, as well as in wood, paper, printing and reproduction. The current level of orders also continued to drop (-22 vs -17), most notably in the manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c., and in basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment. At the same time, selling price expectations weakened further (7 vs 11), while employment outlook also deteriorated (-3 vs -1).
