The Swedish economy contracted 0.1% month-over-month in September 2025, reversing an upwardly revised 1.2% expansion in August, preliminary data showed. It was the fourth monthly GDP contraction so far this year. The decline was primarily driven by a 0.3% fall in household consumption. On a year-on-year basis, GDP grew 2.7% in September, following an upwardly revised 2.6% increase in the previous month, marking the fastest pace of growth in three quarters.
