27 October 2025, 15:31 Brazil: Consumer Confidence Hits 10-Month High.
Brazil’s seasonally adjusted FGV-IBRE Consumer Confidence Index rose to 88.5 in October 2025 from 87.5 in September, the highest since December 2024, mainly driven by stronger sentiment among lower-income families. Confidence among lower-income households jumped 5.1 points to 82.6, while higher-income confidence edged up 0.3 to 94.2. Both the Expectations Index and Current Situation Index advanced 1 point, to 92.8 and 83.0, respectively. Within current conditions, views on the local economy improved 2.3 points to 95.5, while household finances slipped 0.3 to 70.8. Future local economic expectations climbed 2.3 points to 106.9, and future household finances rose 5.8 to 89.7. The only decline came from planned durable goods purchases, down 5.6 points to 82.6.
