Retail sales in Denmark increased by 3.5% year-on-year in September 2025, accelerating from an upwardly revised 2.6% gain in the previous month. It marked the strongest growth since May, as sales increased at a faster pace for clothing (5.5% vs 4.1% in August) and other consumer goods (7.9% vs 5%). On the other hand, trade declined notably for food and other groceries (-2.2% vs -0.4%). On a monthly basis, retail activity showed no growth in September, following a 0.3% rise in the previous month.
