Finland’s consumer confidence declined to -7.6 in October 2025, down from -6.6 in September, marking a slight deterioration in sentiment. The decline reflected worsened expectations for Finland’s broader economic outlook (-13.2 vs -13.1 in September), while households’ views on their own finances also weakened (-2.4 vs -0.6). At the same time, views of households’ financial situation were less positive (22.9 vs 24), and intentions to take out a loan were lower (15.0 vs 16.8). Meanwhile, the period was still widely regarded as very unfavorable for purchasing durable goods (-20.8 vs -19.7), keeping spending intentions remained subdued (10.3 vs 10.7), and dwelling purchase plans were notably low (-16.6 vs -12).
