24 October 2025, 21:13  Italy: FTSE MIB Rises on Upbeat Corporate Updates.

The FTSE MIB rose 0.2% to close at 42,487 on Friday, as investors digested corporate updates. Eni climbed 1.6% after boosting its buyback program by 20% following stronger-than-expected Q3 results. Stellantis gained 2.3% after appointing Trevor Longley as president of Stellantis Canada. Ferrari advanced 1.8%, with investors viewing the recent stock decline as a buying opportunity. Banks traded higher, with BPER Banca up 2% and Banca Popolare di Sondrio 2.1%, after Morningstar DBRS upgraded BPER’s long-term deposit rating to ‘A’ from ‘BBB’. Generali rose 0.8% and Poste Italiane 0.4%. On the downside, UniCredit slipped 1.7% after reporting a net profit margin of 41.8% last week, below last year’s 42.5%. STMicroelectronics lost 1.6% after forecasting lower sales for the year. TD Cowen cut its price target to $25 from $27, citing weak Q4 revenue guidance despite a gross margin beat.
