Producer prices in Sweden rose 0.5% year-on-year in September 2025, rebounding from a 0.7% decline in the previous month. This marked the first annual increase in producer prices since February, driven mainly by a sharp rise in energy-related products (16.4% vs 10.9% in August). Prices for capital goods also fell at a slower pace (-1.0% vs -2.2%), while consumer goods prices declined 0.1%, reversing a 0.6% gain in August. Excluding energy-related products, producer prices fell 1.6% year-on-year — a softer drop than the 2.2% decrease recorded in August. On a monthly basis, the Producer Price Index (PPI) fell 0.7% in September, marking the first monthly decline in three months and reversing a 0.5% increase in August.
