Spain’s unemployment rate rose to 10.45% in the third quarter of 2025, up from 10.29% in the previous quarter, above market expectations of 10.2%. The number of unemployed increased by 60,100 to 2.613 million, while employment rose by 118,400 to 22.387 million. Meanwhile, the working population grew by 178.500, reaching 25 million. Unemployment fell by 22,600 among unemployed men but rose by 82,700 among women. The female unemployment rate went up by 0.61 percentage points to 12.11%, and the male rate decreased by 0.23 points to 8.97%.
