Denmark’s consumer confidence index fell to -19.5 in October 2025 from -18.7 in the previous month. This marked the lowest reading since March 2023, as consumers’ assessments of the country’s current economic situation compared with a year ago turned more pessimistic (-32.9 vs -29.1 in September), as did their expectations for the next 12 months (-25.0 vs -21.7). Meanwhile, sentiment toward personal finances improved slightly, with consumers less negative about their financial situation over the past year (-14.3 vs -19.3) and the coming year (-6.0 vs -6.7). Among components not included in the overall confidence indicator, concerns about unemployment over the next 12 months increased further (15.4 vs 13.9), while consumers anticipate that prices will rise at roughly the same pace over the next year as they do at present (29.6).
