22 October 2025, 02:16  South Korea: Producer Inflation Hits 6-Month High in September.

South Korea’s producer prices rose 1.2% year-on-year in September 2025, marking the highest increase since March and up from 0.6% in August. Increases were seen in services (1.7% vs. 1.1% in August), electricity, water, and gas (2.9% vs. 2.6%), while manufacturing costs swung to inflation (0.7% vs. -0.2%). On the other hand, agricultural, forestry, and marine products (-0.9% vs. 3.9%) saw disinflation. On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 0.4% in September after a 0.1% drop in August, reflecting mixed trends across sectors.
