17 October 2025, 17:45  Serbia: Current Account Deficit Widens in August.

Serbia’s current account deficit widened to $395 million in August 2025, from a revised $359 million in the same month a year earlier. The goods deficit expanded slightly to $580 million from $563 million in August 2024, while the services surplus narrowed sharply to $56 million from $144 million. The primary income deficit narrowed to $338 million from $381 million, and the secondary income surplus increased to $468 million from $441 million. Over the first eight months of 2025, Serbia’s current account shortfall widened to $2.68 billion, compared with $2.05 billion in the same period last year.
