16 October 2025, 22:26  Italy: FTSE MIB Rises on Telecom Rally and Auto Sector Strength.

The FTSE MIB rose 1.1% to close at 42,374 on Thursday, supported by strong corporate news and upbeat global sentiment. Telecom Italia jumped 5.8% after Deutsche Bank upgraded the stock to “buy” from “hold” and raised its price target to €0.62, citing further upside potential. Campari gained 5.7% after Pernod Ricard’s stronger-than-expected results and optimistic outlook lifted spirits across the beverage sector. Eni edged up 0.3% as oil prices rose. Meanwhile, tech stocks followed global momentum, with STMicroelectronics up 2.2% on renewed AI optimism. The auto sector outperformed, with Ferrari climbing 2.4% and Stellantis 2.3%. Among banks, UniCredit (+0.9%) and Intesa Sanpaolo (+1.6%) advanced, while Generali slipped 1.1%. Italy’s annual inflation held steady at 1.6% in September, confirming preliminary estimates.
