15 October 2025, 15:08 Poland: Inflation Rate Confirmed at 2.9%
Poland’s annual inflation rate stood at 2.9% in September 2025, unchanged from the previous month and matching preliminary estimates. This remains the lowest level since June 2024, led by slower price growth in food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.2% vs 4.9% in August), education (6.8% vs 8.6%), recreation and culture (2.5% vs 2.9%), housing and utilities (4.1% vs 4.2%), restaurants and hotels (5.4% vs 5.7%), and communication (5.4% vs 5.9%). In contrast, prices rose faster in alcoholic beverages and tobacco (6.8% vs 6.6%) and miscellaneous goods and services (2% vs 1%), while price growth held steady for health (4.8%). At the same time, contractions eased for transport (-3.8% vs -5.4%), furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-0.9% vs -1.1%), and clothing and footwear (-0.8% vs -1.5%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices were flat in September, unchanged from the previous two months and confirming preliminary estimates.
