14 October 2025, 17:04  Poland: Trade Deficit Widens Slightly in August.

Poland recorded a €2.15 billion trade deficit in August 2025, widening marginally from €2.11 billion a year earlier, as exports lost steam after three months of growth. Exports slipped 1.4% year on year to €25.0 billion, weighed down by weaker sales of transport equipment - particularly electric batteries - and softer demand for consumer durables. These declines were partly offset by stronger shipments of agricultural goods, clothing re-exports and computer equipment. Imports fell 1.2% to €27.1 billion, driven mainly by a sharp drop in fuel imports amid lower oil prices. Most other import categories recorded modest declines, though inbound shipments of passenger cars and consumer goods - including clothing, footwear and gaming consoles - continued to rise.
