Romania’s current account recorded a deficit of EUR 2,664 million in August 2025, narrowing slightly from EUR 2,695 million in the corresponding month of the previous year. In contrast, the primary income deficit increased to EUR 921 million from EUR 837 million, and the secondary income account shifted to a deficit of EUR 164 million from a EUR 138 million surplus a year earlier.
