14 October 2025, 10:31 United Kingdom: 10-Year Gilt Yield at Near One-Month Low.
The UK 10-year gilt yield fell to 4.66%, its lowest level since September 17, after the latest jobs data suggested the Bank of England may have more room to cut interest rates gradually. The ONS report showed regular pay growth slowed to 4.7% in June–August 2025, down from 4.8%, the weakest since March–May 2022. The unemployment rate rose slightly to 4.8%, above forecasts of 4.7%, while September payrolls fell by 10,000, reversing a 10,000 gain in the previous month.
