10 October 2025, 13:35 Finland: Current Account Surplus Narrows in August.
Finland's current account surplus narrowed to EUR 274 million in August 2025 from EUR 350 million in the corresponding month of the previous year. The decline was primarily driven by a sharp decrease in the goods account surplus, which dropped to EUR 98 million from EUR 225 million a year earlier. Additionally, the services account deficit widened to EUR 151 million from EUR 9 million, while the secondary income shortfall also rose to EUR 212 million from EUR 157 million. On the other hand, the primary income surplus expanded to EUR 539 million from EUR 291 million in the same month a year ago.
