10 October 2025, 13:32 Finland: Industrial Output Falls at a Softer Pace.
The annual industrial production in Finland fell by 0.2% in August 2025, from a downwardly revised 5.3% drop in the previous month. This marked the third consecutive month of contraction in industrial production but the softest decline in sequence, as output fell at a lesser extent for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (-1.3% vs -5.8% in July). At the same time, output recovered for manufacturing (0.1% vs -5.7%). On the other hand, production decelerated for mining and quarrying (2.4% vs 18.8%). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial activity increased 2.6% in August, rebounding from a revised 1.9% decrease in the preceding month.
