1 October 2025, 04:30 Rwanda: Producer Prices Rise the Least in 3 Months.
Producer prices in Rwanda rose 11.0% year-on-year in August 2025, easing from a 13.0% increase in the previous month and marking the ninth consecutive month of producer inflation. It was also the softest annual increase since May, as manufacturing prices grew at a slower pace (11.5% vs 16.2% in July), while mining and quarrying remained steady at 1.1%. Meanwhile, prices in electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply activities surged 34.8% after remaining flat in July. In contrast, prices in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities were unchanged. On a monthly basis, producer prices fell by 0.3% in August, reversing a 1.8% gain in July and marking the first monthly decline in four months.
