The annual inflation rate in Latvia was 3.8% in July 2025, unchanged from the previous month. Prices increased for food and non-alcoholic beverages (6.9% vs 6.3% in June), recreation and culture (5% vs 4.6%), and restaurant and hotel services (5.4% vs 4.7%). Price growth remained steady for housing & utilities (at 3.3%) and education (at 10.2%). At the same time, the pace of decline in transport costs eased (-0.3% vs -1.3%). Meanwhile, prices rose at a slower pace for alcoholic beverages and tobacco (5.9% vs 6.5%), clothing and footwear (1.1% vs 1.4%), and health (3.6% vs 3.9%), whereas costs for miscellaneous goods and services fell (-0.7% vs 4%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased by 0.1%, matching the pace recorded in June.
