Croatia recorded a trade deficit of EUR 1.6 billion in June of 2025, remaining relatively unchanged from the deficit in the corresponding month of the previous year as imports and exports both increased at similar levels. Exports jumped by 10% annually to EUR 2.1 billion in June, the second highest amount on record when excluding the energy inflationary crisis of 2022. In turn, imports jumped by 5% to EUR 3.631 billion, the highest on the period on record. Up to May, exports to the US fell by 13.4% annually due to the tariff threats that the US placed on the EU, while imports from the US fell by a softer 4.9%.
