The Swiss unemployment rate held steady for the third month in a row at a non-seasonally adjusted 2.7% in July 2025, slightly below market expectations of 2.8% and remaining at its lowest level since November 2024. The number of unemployed persons increased by 2.3 from a month earlier to 129.2 thousand. Meanwhile, the youth unemployment rate, measuring job-seekers between 15 and 24 years old, ticked up to 2.7% from 2.5%, with the number of young unemployed rising by 0.8 thousand to 11.5 thousand. Additionally, the number of reported job vacancies remained largely stable at 39.8 thousand. Adjusted for seasonal factors, the jobless rate stood at 2.9%, unchanged from the previous month.
