Construction output in the Czech Republic increased by 14% year-on-year in June 2025, accelerating from an 11.6% growth in the previous month. This marked the highest reading since March 2022, largely due to a sharp rise in civil engineering works (20.3% vs 13.1% in May). However, growth in building construction slowed slightly (10.3% vs 10.8%). The approximate value of building permits granted dropped by 9.5% in June, especially in new constructions. The number of started dwellings fell by 2.5% to 2,637, while the number of completed dwellings climbed by 40% to 3,775. On a monthly basis, construction output rose by 2.6%.
