4 August 2025, 12:29  Slovenia: Trade Deficit Widens in June.

Slovenia’s trade deficit widened to EUR 1,601.2 million in June 2025 from EUR 684.4 million in the same month a year earlier, as both exports and imports rose. Exports climbed 10.4% year-on-year to EUR 5,351.3 million, driven by a 22% increase in shipments to non-EU countries, while sales to EU markets edged up 0.3%. Meanwhile, imports jumped 25.7% to EUR 6,952.6 million, fueled by a 44.3% surge in purchases from non-EU countries and a 6% rise from EU partners. Despite June’s deficit, Slovenia recorded a trade surplus of EUR 782.8 million in the first half of 2025.
