4 August 2025, 10:59  Romania: Producer Prices Drop for 1st Time in 5 Months.

The annual producer inflation in Romania fell by 0.28% year-on-year in June 2025, following an upwardly revised 0.86% rise in the previous month. This was mainly due to the price increases for mining and quarrying (5.03% vs 5.52% in May), and water supply, sewerage, waste management & remediation activities (9.29% vs 9.51%). Additionally, costs for electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply declined further (-7.37% vs -2.04%). Meanwhile, prices continued to rise for manufacturing goods (2.15% vs 1.65%). On a monthly basis, producer prices rose by 0.10%, rebounding from a 0.16% drop in the preceding period.
