Retail sales in Spain rose by 4.7% from the previous year in July of 2025, slowing from the over three-year high of 6.2% from the previous month. Sales turnover expanded at a slower pace for retailers that specialize in services (3.2% vs 4.6% in June), offsetting those that specialize in autos and parts (7.3% vs 7.1%) and those that specialize in food, beverages, and tobacco (5.1% vs 3.8%). From the previous month, retail turnover contracted by 0.4% on a seasonally adjusted basis, trimming the 1.1% surge in the last month for the first monthly drop since January.
