South Africa's PPI inflation accelerated to 1.5% in July 2025, the highest rate in nearly a year, from 0.6% in the prior month. The main positive contributors were coke, petroleum, chemical, rubber, and plastic products, which rose 1.3% and added 0.3 percentage points, and paper and printed products, which increased 2.5% and contributed 0.2 percentage points. On a monthly basis, producer prices inched up by 0.7%, after increasing by 0.2% in the previous month.
