Retail sales in Slovenia fell by 0.7% year-on-year in July 2025, slipping from an upwardly revised 2.8% gain in the previous month. This marked the first decline since December 2024, as sales tumbled for food, beverages & tobacco (-2.4% vs 0.7% in June) and automotive fuel in specialized stores (-5.7% vs 3.6%). Meanwhile, sales for non-food products continued to rise (3.6% vs 3.1%). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, retail sales declined by 1.0% from 0.4% fall in the preceding period.
